Apartment Review for Birchwood Meadows

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! If you are at all considering this ****-hole, do yourself a favor and read this review:
-Very unsafe: sketchy people hanging around in the yard in the middle of the night, bikes stolen, cars broken into, people jumping the fence, many people who don’t live there have the gate password, camera’s probably don’t even work.
•Worst neighborhood in Sacramento: Oak Park AKA Pistol Park is VERY unsafe! Gunshots, police sirens and helicopters are common sounds. Call the sheriff’s department or look at any sex offender registry online before considering this neighborhood.
•Drug activity: smell weed on a daily basis, ‘on-site managers’ constantly doing drug deals with strange cars that would come in the middle of the night. Strange people always around in the yard and laundry rooms doing drugs.
•Very old/faulty apartments: don’t be fooled by ‘renovations’—broken sinks, ovens, locks, light switches, closets, windows, toilets. VERY THIN walls—ceilings are very squeaky making it hard to sleep at night. One tenant’s oven caught on fire and the fire department had to come put it out!
•NOT affiliated with UCD School of Medicine: their website is misleading…this is NOT a good place for students to live. Other tenants living there are very sketchy—they don’t work and just hang outside with strange friends smoking and cursing.
•Very OVERPRICED: extremely OLD apartment buildings with NO amenities and only 2 washers/dryers. No pool, Jacuzzi, workout room, or on-site office or maintenance guy. Don’t expect your complaints to be addressed anytime soon since there is no office and the ‘on-site managers’ don’t know how much works.
•Owners misled tenants about the safety of this place, didn’t address some of tenant’s concerns. Their website and flyers said you would get free internet with 1 year lease but once tenants moved in, they said it no longer applied and flyers/website were outdated.
