Apartment Reviews for Fairlake
Sneaky management, slow maintenance, no parking, B

Let me start by saying unless you are home by 6pm, park your car at the first spot you see. My dishwasher had to be replaced twice, stove twice, ceiling fan three times, closet doors twice. Bathtub had mold growing around it and all they did was cover it with culking cream. Carpet is not secured to the floor and it is folding up at the edges. Air conditioner broke down 4 times and two of the times I had to wait in the 100 degree heat for 2 days for them to fix it. When it does work, it conditions only one bedroom and half the living room. I tried closing all the vents except the one in one of the bedrooms, and it still wont make it cool. All I will say is hope your not scared of spiders. Was paying $790 a month for 2bd/1bth and after first year they tried to raise it to $810, but I argued. 4 months later, they started charging us for water, sewage, garbage, and service. No notice came about the new charges, just a bill in the mail and with no option to cancel the lease because they changed the terms. By the way, these bills are shared by each building. There are no individual apartment meters. So if you go on vacation for two weeks and use no water, have no garbage, etc., you still have to split the bill. My first bill was for $37 dollars. The next month I was on vacation for 2 weeks. Tell me why that months bill was for $51 dollars. I saw three parties that ended with helicopters and numerous squad cars all over the complex. Office workers are supposed to be there until 5pm. So why when I call at 4PM, I get the voice mail for the rest of the day. Garbage disposal clogged and it took them 4 days to service it. Toilet clogged and it took them 4 days to service it. This place is terrible. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. <P>
