Apartment Reviews for Fairlake - Sacramento

I'm currently attending Sac State which is 3 miles away or so from the apartments. Pro: The location of the apartments are awesome! There is a shopping center near by and lots of restaurants. Cal Expo is a block away, which makes it easy to walk to during the fair. The Arden Mall is near by as well; a 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk, which ever you choose. Pro: You can catch the hornet bus or the sac regional transit(bus 87). Pro: It has an awesome gym and 3 pools. A hot tube and 2 tennise courts in decent conditon. Pro: They fix repairs in a week. Con: Altought it seems like a lot of parking, when it gets dark, it's hard to find parking. Cons:Depending which part you live in, it can range in noise. It's especially noisey by the shopping center (Old Navy area), because families live there, which means little kids yelling. Con: Security guards will ruin your part on major holidays. Con: It's noise, not matter what on Thursdays. Con: You have to ask them to fix repairs twice in order for them to do anything. Tip: Make sure they type in the repair into the computer. Things get fixed faster. OVERALL, THIS IS AN IDEAL PLACE FOR A COLLEGE STUDENT WITH A BUDGET. I RECOMMEND IT ONLY TO COLLEGE STUDENTS. <P>

Before I moved in I read all the negative reviews about this place and was a little nervous, but chose it anyways. First things first, these apartments are best suited for college age people. Although there are many kids and familys. Colleges kids are the majority. The amenities are nice, the gym is great, and the pools(when working) are really nice. And the tennis courts are a plus. The biggest downside, guest parking is a nightmare!!! Very limited guest parking, and most spots are taken up by tennants who have second cars. All in all its a pretty good place for college students. <P>

This unit was built in the 1970's so the technology and workmanship is 1970's style. I had no problem when I asked them to fix some major issues, they were there the next day and fixed it as best as was possible for the older building. A bit noisy with the hearing of neghbors but the young kids that live here all seem to be friendly and nice. <P>
The pool is great and the gym is great because it is open 24/7. Laundry rooms could use more washers and dryers so that you didn't have to wait to do laundry. <P>
It's nice not to be in a sterile building were no one talks to you, the people here are friendly. Close drive to just about anything you want. <P>

I am amazed at all the negative people out their. Fairlake is not the best place in the world, but the location is great, the pools are nice/clean, and the gym is fantastic(open 24/7). The maintenance is abit lacking, but thats due to a lacking supervisor! Security was there, but cars still got vandalized.

I'm a professional young woman who when first moving to Fairlake was totally disappointed and concerned for my safety. I went to the managament and literally within days the partying stopped. New security was put in place and I felt safe again. However if you are a young professional this may not be the place for you. This complex really is geared towards young hot bodied college students. So its really up to you.

The Gym and office area + pool is very very nice.
The apartments are a lil expensive but are nice aswell. The interior is nice. I would definatley consider this comlex if you are young and wish to move to the arden area. I have been written up 8 times for noise complaints( happens depending on neighbors) altyhough a lot of young people live here. SO my lease is up and I have to move or else i would stay.
