Apartment Reviews for Castle Park Resort - San Bernardino

I would consider this one of the "better" apartments in San Bernardino, but if you know San Bernardino, that isn't saying much. It's one of the better places that I've lived, but that isn't saying much either. A few more things you should know:
Security: Even though I feel safer here than downtown, it is not at all safe. The community is gated and there is a courtesy patrol that is occasionally here - but all they do is sit around in the little booth by the entrance. They will respond if you call them, however. Breakins are frequent. Keep your doors locked all the time!
Parking: 1 assigned space. I only have 1 car so this isn't an issue for me.
Generally great appearance inside and out, but we have had trouble with bums digging through the dumpsters.
Some of the staff is great: friendly and really on top of things. Some of the staff is crabby and forgetful. They sometimes take a long time to respond to maintenance requests and don't always answer their e-mails or phoe messages. They have a tendency to waste money fixing things that don't need to be fixed (like moving the handicapped parking spaces over 5 spaces).
If you want a quiet apartment, I would recommend a place in the back. My unit is right next to the main entrance gate and I hear a lot of car and foot traffic, as well as the squeaky gate.

One of the nices apt complexes I've ever lived in. Clean great management, walking distance to starbuck , Ralph's grocery, Walmrt ,circleK gas station,KFC, Mcdonalds,Carl's Jr,Wienershitzel, Del Taco, Taco Bell, Pizza hut express, Chinese food, Dominoe's, 2 Nail salons, Radio shack, and I can go on and on, 3 pools and 3 spas that are alway clean. Tons of laundary rooms,and walking distance to CAL State University. I've only had 1 problem with my satelite being stollen. But I have a down stairs unit and it was put right in plain view of everyone in my patio. My cars were left unlocked many of times and i never had a penny taken. Loved this apt can blame them for one stupid punk.
