I liked living at Archstone. Overall a good place. The Mission Valley location is right between the 15 and 805 so it can be very noisy.
Beware of Archstone's Deposit policies. No matter what you do, you WON'T get your deposit back. Archstone finds every possible reason to charge you when you move out - and the charges are often more than your deposit! 1 small scuff mark on the wall - $60 painting charge. Streaks in the toilet - $60 cleaning charge. If you ask Archstone to tell you what needs to be done to get back your full deposit they WON'T tell you. I was told that I wouldn't be given a detailed list of issues until AFTER I turned the apartment over to Archstone. So be careful about that. Otherwise a good place to live.
