Just calling the Bay Pointe the nastiest building in California wouldn't accurately describe this 1960's era filthhole inhabited by people who clearly haven't bathed or gone to work since the last time the Packers won a superbowl. The carpeting is all brown-- a color popular in the 70s when the carpet was last changed. The security downstairs in the mail area is so bad, there are C4-resistant "blast doors" over the mail slots on Sundays and the evenings so that homeless people can't steal your Maxim magazines. The homeless people don't have to leave empty handed though, as they can and do steal your laundry from the dryers. The security problem could be fixed if they would install locks on the outside doors, but that would incur an expense of $5 per door to the apartment complex which is evidently agains their charter. The BayPoint staff has recieved the same customer service training as David Spade in the Capital one commercials...as the only word they know is "NO". On the plus side, the building itself is such an architectural disaster, that any seismic activity in southern california will certainly level the Baypointe and significantly increase property values throughout PB. What really bothers me is that I know for a fact that "Homeless Pete" is living in one of the storage closets, and he doesn't have to pay rent... but the other residents do?
