I Moved out of the ghetto to this nicer looking complex. reasonable rent rates, and with the temporary exception of the rec-room, amenities were pleasant well cared for, and accessible.

Now, the place is a real dump, the new property manager is of the "ignore them till the problem fixes itself" mentality, including an issue of termites site-wide, unsafe poolside barriers, etc. (meaning your 2 year old kid could walk right into the pool area through the gaping holes in the fences) and have himself a good old time splashing mud, garbage, or whatever into the water, You'll have a hard time noticing though because of all the other debris that accumulates in them.... I havne't seen a single person swim in the pool in at least 3 months. (And when it was prepp'd, we used to be frequent users). Notifying the office simply obtained the response "We're looking into it".... 120 days and counting.

As for communication, well. lets say this

They issue a written notice saying "We're not switching for condos, we're just trying to get zoned for them".

Then they start issuing EPA and city hall notices for the conversion process, looks like "Condo conversion emminent. etc" Looks like someone wants to pawn this block of 400 pieces of termite ridden crud on someone else... let the buyer, or renter beware.

The maintenance team is horrible, it takes weeks to have a simple problem fixed correctly (by then, they will have visited you two or three times). On the plus side, if you are a do-it-your-selfer and dont mind paying rent for a maintenance team that doesn't do their job, then this is the place for you!

Parking.. *laughs* Parking is a luxury afforded by the people with the foresight to purchase a parking space from the management, though I hear the list is in high demand I didn't personally experience that when I signed on, public parking and street parking is definitely a burden, You will leave your spot, to come back five minutes later and discover its filled.. then drive around for ten minutes looking for another. Better to use a bicycle, or walk to the college just blocks from here.

All in all. i'd give this place 3 stars out of 10 now, they have some serious work to do to become anywhere near the rent they are trying to charge.

.. amazing how the rent goes up to cover these amenities, but they still dont get fixed.

Oh well.
