Admittedly, the unit we were shown when we first went to look at the place was nice. It had new tile, and new carpet. We were then told that unit was taken, but there would be another available soon, and identical. Foolishly, we trusted the apartment manager, which was a mistake.
The unit had a number of problems on the move-in date. The manager conveniently had "forgotten" her pen when we did the inspection, so I made her get it so she could write down all the things that were in disrepair. Then, upon moving in, we found even more things in bad shape - such as a screen door with no handles, and a bathtub/shower that can't be used as a shower because the valve switch was caulked shut.
Upon notifying management of these problems, we were informed that they had just recently decided that screen doors were not included with the apartments, so we could either fix it ourselves, or have them remove it.
In short, this place is a dump, and the management is thoroughly dishonest and conniving. Do not rent here. You can do better.
