I have been deceived and outright lied to from the moment I stepped foot on the property. Unit was in horrible condition. Carpet is threadbare, appliances are very old, none of the cabinets close, linoleum has large yellow stains, countertops are scratched, the shower/tub was disgusting - the caulking was black, the sliding door was rusted, and there were deep strips out of the bottom of the tub - the sink leaks, the toilet doesn't flush properly, the list goes on. There are rats and roaches surrounding the property and management does nothing to solve the problem - a pest control person sprays once a month but doesnt bother finding the nests to fix the problem permanently. Recent renovations include painting and re-tarring the roof, which is extremely disruptive for residents. The smell is terrible, and the workers start at 7:30 am and peer in your windows. Management is significantly raising rent because they've done so much to make the property better. Lighting outside is horrible and unreliable. Management doesn't regularly pay electric bills, so don't count on having hot water or lighting outside. There are several registered sex offenders living in the complex, not to mention the many drug addicts. Domestic violence is pervasive and persistent - all of my neighbors scream and fight at all hours. Everything that you can imagine will go wrong with your apartment will. I didn't think any place could be this bad.
