Office staff and management company changes more frequently than your underwear (This property is no longer called Oakwood La Jolla Colony. It has been bought by Archstone-Smith). But...it was going downhill way before this transition took place. Walls are paper thin. Might as well live in your neighbor's apartment. Dogs allowed. Leash law not enforced. If you love non-stop barking and packs of loose dogs, this is your place. No inside upkeep done. Haven't had walls painted in over 6 yrs. Carpet cheap and never cleaned professionally. Roof leaked and caused damage to ceiling but never fixed properly. Mold on all window sills. This has been seen by staff and NEVER addressed. There are rules on excessive noise but nobody follows them. Lots of students who party, party, party. If you appreciate considerate neighbors, this is definitely NOT the place for you. We've stayed because of the great location and hopes that the deficiencies would improve. If Archstone doesn't make major improvements, we're out of here!!
