Review for Archstone Harborview Apartments

If you are at all bothered by noise, think long and hard about living here. The complex is right next to the trolley and train tracks. That means the trolley goes by every few minutes. That's not bad except for the ding-ding-ding of the crossing bell on G Street. The real issue is the noise from the freight trains. They come by at all times of the night. Usually 6-7 times a night and they blow their air horns! They are very loud! The staff here will tell you "You can hear the trains anywhere downtown." True, but when your building is literally 3 feet from the train track, the train horn literally rattles the windows. So be careful about that.

Also just plan on not getting your deposit back. Archstone won't return your deposit. I cleaned my place to the highest possible standard and I still got charged a cleaning charge. So write that off. Until someone sues Archstone, they'll just keep on finding ways to keep your deposit.

With the above said, the location here is really, really great. Close to everything!
