Review for Archstone Torrey Hills Apartments

I've lived here for 6 years, and am definitely moving when my lease is up. Over the last year and a half this community has gone downhill. First they repainted the complex in hideous colors. The complex is now overrun with kids playing in the parking lots at all hours, even though there is a park two blocks away. Also, our neighbors constantly slam their doors. Office staff turnover is very high. The nitpicking over every rule is also getting tiresome. UPS dropped off some boxes on my doorstep, and by the time I got home from work I had a notice on my door telling me that this was a serious violation of the rules, and could lead to a three day notice to quit. This was on a first offense! Combined with a community wide notice saying we could have NO barbeques (gas or charcoal), and that any violation could lead to eviction, I am done with Archstone Torrey Hills. With 1 bedrooms going for $1750, I don’t think people pay this kind of rent to be lectured and talked down to. If you like nitpickers, high rent, kids in parking lots, slamming doors and lots of bugs this is the place for you. If not, find somewhere else.
