Apartment Review for Bay Pointe

We took over another persons lease in May of 2011 and they sent us a notice two weeks in that our rent would be incresing after only 7 weeks as a tenant. Do not believe anything the management says. Tricia lied to my face and now will not even look in my direction when she sees me. The manager Jackie thinks that because we are getting a "deal" even with the increase, that they acted fairly and professionally. I don't know about you but if someone accuses me of mistruth and they are wrong I have no problem looking them in the eye and telling them they either heard me wrong or misunderstood what I said, but since they have me stuck since I cannot afford another $1200 in moving expenses after 7 weeks of just spending that to nove to Bay Pointe, the offending party cannot even offer that courtesy. If you deal with this palce at all, and for the current market rent there are much better places, make sure you get everything in writing or you will be taken for a ride!

The gym is run down and smells, homeless people hop the fence to the pool all night long and take quick baths in the hottubs, there are constantly people from other complexes hopping the fence and using the pool and hottub and then leaving there trash everywhere. I have found needles and meth pipes in the stairs(3 times in 4 weeks) since they do not have any secure access to any of the apartment buildings, not even a door that has to be opened. The place looks nice on the surface, but when you take a close look it is pretty rundown and unsecure for the price that you pay.

The turnover rate here is huge compared to other complexes in the area due to these issues. All of the reviews that you find about this place that are positive are written by staff members who live here.
