Review for Mission Pacific Apartments

You will view a well maintained exterior when you arrive. You should enjoy this because you will be paying for it with consistent and substantial rent increases. When I asked why because I was promised that as a tenant, "rent would never increase more than 1/2 the public rate", I was told, "I never said this and the landscaping is expensive".

The management neglected to point out that my sleep would be limited because the fire alarms go off consistently during the night and you will be forced out of your apartment when the fire trucks arrive only to learn it was another false alarm. Not to worry, if the alarms don't wake you up, the continuous yelling in the courtyard will when the tenants arrive home from their favorite bar. Security is on call for this situation but arriving is a slow process because they are not on the premises and by this time you are wide awake.

They have private parking underground but beware all is not as it seems. My vehicle experienced several vandalisms as did many others. These were explained by the manager as my fault because the "tenants do not lock the gates". I always locked the gate.


They will hook you in with a low deposit. Consider this a donation to corporate America because when you move out, you will be shocked (well maybe not because by this time you will experience deception regularly) to see that your deposit has been documented with more lies. This is the case even when you do a walk through and you are promised the return of all your deposit. Even when confronted by the fraudulent charges, they promised a refund. I am still waiting Mission Pacific. Do the lies ever end?

The good news is that the surrounding area offers a multitude of clean, safe and well managed apartments for considerably less monthly rent. The neighborhood is sketchy at Mission Pacific. The premium rent is not compatible with the local crime statistics.
