Good Place To Live, Nightmare To Move Out

Rented: From 2005 To 2006

My husband & I lived there a couple of years ago. We really enjoyed the area & the apartment itself until we moved out. They said we "ruined" the carpet & walls & actually made us pay additional money on top of not returning our deposit (cost us over $700). We cleaned that place from top to bottom before we moved & there was definitely not $700 worth of damage. My husband is in the military, so we were not even living in the apartment 5 out of the 12 months we had it due to his deployments. We had asked them to check the apartment when we moved out and they refused. When we asked for proof of the "damage" we caused, they "couldn't find it" for over 6 months. We eventually gave up & paid them their money...very unwillingly, I may add. It's too bad, because, except for the parking, it was a great place to live. They scam you when you move out, though.
