I currently live at 1700 California Street Building and really love it. It is centrally located to so many things and the neighborhood is safe for the most part. Unlike the first review, I think the management team is wonderful. Ask me that a year ago, I wouldn't have the same answer. It was managed by 2 women who had no people skills whatsoever but they have been gone for over a year now and the building hasn't looked any better. The 2 people in the office now have always been on top of things and have always made a point to keep us updated with any maintenance request we submit. The young gentleman in the office is always dressed nice and very professional. The young lady is very pleasant and social. The Maintenance department has had it's share of bad Engineers and the revolving door hasn't quite come to a halt and it doesn't seem to appear it will soon. They tend to be a little slow and not always knowledgeable of what they are fixing. Some days you never see them and wonder if they are on site. The Concierge doesn't have good coverage during the day. The women that work there are not nice and don't look like they enjoy their job. The one nice lady that did ended up leaving. The women hide behind this door and play on the computer. It's not work they're doing, it's obvious that they are just on the internet. Although the men on the other had are great especially Larry, who's been there for a long time. The building is nicely decorated with newly installed carpet in the lobby which is very high end. Other than the elevators not working properly on occasion, the building is well maintained and is great to come home to.
