I have lived at the Villas Parkmerced for a year and a half now. Up until yesterday I thought that the good and the bad of living here were equal. I have a beautiful apartment with a view of a beautiful golf course and beyond that the ocean. It's just outside of the city (even though it's still in sf) and it is right next to SF state, so it is very convenient for my boyfriend to get to class. Another thing is that it has easy access to the MUNI, which I ride to work. The bad things about the apartment I was living with - The middle of the night noise of the college kids in the building, the lack of convenient parking, the colder weather, and the very slow apartment staff that never returns your call and when they do they still don't know the answer to your question. The problem here is that just yesterday when I got back from vacation I had an eviction notice on my front door!!! I always pay my rent ontime and in full - so you can imagine my surprise. Well after I left 3 messages for the apartment staff and finally got a hold of someone in a different office to tell them to take off of their call forwarding - I finally got a hold of someone that could help me. Come to find out that they were recording the rent for my apartment for another apartment for the past 3 months!!! It has now been over 24 hours and the apartment staff still hasn't settled this with me. Everytime I call to check back on the status of fixing my account the guy in the leasing office had no idea who I was! No customer service skills at all!! The staff also never calls me back when they say they will. If you are fooled into thinking that this is a good place to live you are wrong! After this experience I will never again be fooled into thinking that it is better to live in a corporate owned apartment complex. The bad outweighs the good! <P>
