I can recommend Parkmerced Apartments in San Francisco. My experience with the new management, has been a positive one.
If you have any issues with your apartment, just submit a ticket and explain in detail what the issue is. Within a reasonable amount of time, customer service will help to ensure that it gets resolved. If the issue wasn't fixed the first time around to my satisfaction, they paid another visit until it was resolved.
The property itself is beautifully landscaped and I felt safe walking around - as a single woman. With beautiful green lawns and lots of trees, it's also a good place to live if you have kids or pets.
My apartment was in good shape as well. I prefered the townhome style as opposed to a hi-rise with a view, as I prefer to stay closer to the ground. But it was really nice having the choice where as many apartment communities only offer one type of option.
Also since parking can always be challenging in any part of San Francisco, I enjoyed being close to the M-Muni line. It was the perfect way to get around the city.
Overall I give the Parkmerced community a thumbs up. Living on the edge of the city in a community with lots of space, good sized units, and a nice community feel... was an overall very good experience for me.
