4200 Renaissance Dr
San Jose, CA 95134
Bedrooms: Studio - 2
Baths: 1 - 2
$1847
AR Score: 83
With three levels and 9 layouts to choose from, Enclave has a full range of apartments from studio to 2 bedroom and 2 bath. Some larger 3rd floor units have a fireplace. Units have washer, dryer, dishwasher. There is covered parking (parking is assigned so you don't have the problem of not getting a spot) and extra storage is available. Enclave had a wave of negative reviews several years ago and I don't see those same problems~ current management doesn't hesitate to address issues. Rents here are the middle of the pack for the San Jose area so being next to the Guadalupe River and trail is an extra fitness benefit in addition to the amenities provided.Orangearrow Read all reviews...

101 East San Fernando Street
San Jose, CA 95112
Bedrooms: Studio - 3
Baths: 1 - 2.5
$1558
AR Score: 83
101 San Fernando is all about downtown living. Any city's downtown has pluses for ease of access to shopping, restaurants and business and in this case San Jose State University. Access to public transportation is easy and 101 San Fernando is in the heart of the historic section downtown. Downtown also has its minuses: a large student population means a little noisier community inside and fire and police responses mean a noisier outside. The apartments themselves are bigger than you would imagine for the location and the views are A+ high rise. Orangearrow Read all reviews...

Bedrooms: 1 - 3
Baths: 1 - 3

Landscaping features aside (all the water features and trees) Willow Lake Apartments are nice and well kept up. They are very affordable and the apartment is large for the cost. Work and grocery shopping are close and that makes it convenient. Other reviewers complained about parking but the situation is no different than anywhere else I have lived~ if you have a second car you have to expect to either pay for an extra spot or park one further away. Willow Lake Apartments are beautifully landscaped and yes, during the spring the trees have pollen. If you need to live somewhere the trees do not have pollen you will need a space ship to get there!Orangearrow Read all reviews...

I really like this unique contemporary living arrangement within Japan Town and the great coffee and restaurant places all right here. The apartment layouts are modern and well thought out and the semi-industrial location is in a great spot in San Jose. I have lived in all kinds of apartments in various kinds of locations...downtown, on town outskirts, in refurbished industrial and in refurbished historic. Esplanade is better than downtown because it is in a quieter location but it has all the same kind of features. Some reviewers had management concerns but my experience is if you treat people with professional courtesy you get courtesy and help in return.Orangearrow Read all reviews...

3200 Payne Ave
San Jose, CA 95117
Bedrooms: 1 - 3
Baths: 1 - 2
$1500
AR Score: 84
*****
West Park Apartments are older construction but really well maintained. The apartments are spacious, especially with the reasonable rent. These apartments are about halfway between the San Tomas Expressway and Route 17, close to grocery shopping and pharmacy and not too far from upscale shopping in Santana Row. The schools in the neighborhood are rated well. At West Park Apartments the grounds matter...this is a garden apartment style set up. Some reviewers noted refurbishing activities as a con, but I would rather have them keep updating than let things go.Orangearrow Read all reviews...

950 Meridian Ave.
San Jose, CA 95126
Bedrooms: 1 - 2
Baths: 1 - 2
$1435
AR Score: 80
Meridian Apartments reside on the periphery of central San Jose and is a convenient commute to Campbell and Santa Clara. There is an eclectic mix of eateries in the neighborhood including Aqui Cal-Mex, , and Bill’s Cafe, a local favorite breakfast spot. Plenty of quick fix shops like Subway, Mr. Chau’s Chinese Fast Food, and Togo’s are close by. The community is enriched by cultural exhibitions that are great for weekend visits like the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum & Planetarium, the Tech Museum of Innovation, the Children’s Discovery Museum, and the San Jose Museum of Art. Despite the location, the building’s management has changed several times over the years, and reviewers report disruptive noise and poor complex maintenance.Orangearrow Read all reviews...

The Reserve is located just down the street from Santana Row, a buzzing hub of retail shops and eccentric eateries like Pinkberry, Vintage Wine Bar, Amber India Restaurant, Lisa’s Tea Treasures are just a few of the many spots to check out. The Winchester Mystery House is less than a mile away and is a favorite during Halloween, as well as a national register of historic places. Information About San Jose Apartments

What used to once be a farming community, San Jose has now become one of the largest cities in the United States, as well as one of the most populated cities in California. The city has transformed, from an agricultural community to one that is filled with companies that all have over 1,000 employees in a wide variety of business types. That is one reason why so many people start looking for a San Jose apartment because they know that if they live in the city they have a very good chance of finding a great job opportunity.

The most difficult thing about finding great San Jose apartments for rent is that many people assume that they have to live in the heart of the city. While it can be great fun to live right in the middle of all of the action, it's not necessarily the easiest place to find San Jose apartments for rent. The reason why it can be so difficult to find a San Jose apt listing in the heart of the city is because everyone wants to live in the city. They believe that it is the best place to live and, therefore, many times might overlook another charming area of the city.

Instead of looking for apartments in San Jose right in the heart of the city, try looking at some of the neighborhoods that are on the outskirts of everything. These neighborhoods can actually be a great place to live for a wide variety of reasons, the first of which is that when you live in some of the smaller neighborhoods, you not only are able to get to know your neighbors much better than when you live in a large apartment complex, but you may be able to have more privacy as well.

So before you start your San Jose apartment search, it's a good idea to figure out where you need to be in the city. If you currently have a job, then you'll want to find an apartment that is somewhere fairly close to the job. This cuts down drastically on commuting time and can save you a lot of money, as well as a great deal of frustration. Some people say that they find it hard to get great apartments in San Jose, but many times the reason why people find it so difficult is because they start looking only a month or so before they need an apartment.

People believe that they should only look for an apartment during a time when their current lease is about to be up. This, however, can make it challenging to find the perfect San Jose apt listing for you. Instead, try starting your search a few months before your lease is up, or before you know you'll be moving to the city. And continue to search on a daily basis, because this will help keep you in the loop about any new San Jose apartment that comes available for rent as soon as it does become available.
