Okay, so maybe compared to Compton, it's a nice place to live. We moved in here a month ago (yes, ONE month), and we're already trying to find ways to leave.
The bathroom is beyond ghetto. The countertop is poor quality and has burn marks all over it, the bath has a permanent black ring around it, and the floor is also burned in several places.
The parking situation is utterly ridiculous. Obviously, paying almost $1500 a month isn't enough to get two parking spots, they make you pay an -additional- $35 PER MONTH for a permit that doesn't even guarantee you a spot. All it does is get your car off the street, guarded "safely" behind their creaky old gates.
Oh, and then there are the ants. We moved in on a Saturday. and on Sunday we had visitors. My husband called and left seven (yes, 7) messages without ever receiving a call back, so we finally had to go down to the office and stand there until we got them to schedule us for an exterminator. The exterminator came, great. But uh...the ants are still here. I walked into my kitchen this morning and it was -swarmed- with ants.
This place is overpriced, dirty, and an utter waste of your time. Rent only if you're feeling ludicrously charitable and don't mind sharing your apartment with ants, roaches, and mice.
