The management told us when we moved in that we were paying 30 extra a month for no water/sewage/trash bill. A month later a bill is in our mailbox for over $45. They figure out the water usage by square feet and tenants (what management tells you)...which is weird as our apt. is only 670+ sq. feet and there is only my boyfriend and I. The water comp.'s website states that they figure out the bill by hot water usage and the total usage of the complex. What also gets to me is how we pay for trash to a company in Jacksonville, FL...yet doesn't the city of San Jose contract out to trash companies to our area?
We currently have no water at all. The boiler broke and caught on fire Monday (one tenant lost their apt to that fire) and then the water line broke yesterday and now we've gone without any water since then! I'm tired of this.
There is no parking at ALL. There is only one parking space allocated to each apt. to park inside the complex...For people with roommates, this is not ideal. There is no parking on the streets unless you get here before 4pm because the whole street is filled with other apartments.
If you want a satellite be prepared to put an extra down payment, plus get renters insurance...and you have to prove it to management. But, you can get cable through the one service they allow in the complex. No Comcast available here!
I wish I would have known about apartmentreviews.com before I moved in here. I would have never moved here...It may be pretty on the outside, but it gets ugly when you move in. I have only lived here a few months and am not liking it one bit. For the price we pay in utilities and rent, we could get a condo!
