Review Title:   Expensive, Noisy And Not Secure

We lived here for couple years. The looks of the apartment with the pool, club house and all pulled us in. Later on we came across so many issues that we decided to move away. This apartment is located between the 1st and 4th st. You can see shady people in tinted caddilacs and cars often here. The location is semi-industrial place with a lot of noisy truck places around it. There is also a performance car shop called Z-car garage next to it. These guys race their souped up cars up and down the steet of the apartment with extreme turbo noise which you wake you up if you're trying to get some rest in the day time. Apart from that, the balcony and windows are not double pane. So you will hear all the industrial noise, cars on the 1st st, cars racing on the streets closer to the apartments, airpor flight noise. Many of the balcony slide doors don't even shut properly. You can see the wind blowing through its crevices. There are only couple of people to fix things here in the apatment and many times, they do cheap jobs, by hammering and jamming things to make things work. The folks at the office or at the parent company dont' care about any complaints. Though it looks like a gated community, the security is worthless. Some of our neighbors got their cars broken into and things stolen. This happened inside the gated garages. Parking is the worst. We mean, they issue tags for the cars for parking. One day while you take your car for cleaning or something and forgot to put your tag on , your car will be immediately towed from your own assigned spot. And guess what? You will end up paying upto $300 /day to get your car back. Imagine you forgot your parking tag in your own space, and went on a weeks vacation. That is $2100. You can pretty much write off your one months paycheck. So far, we have paid about $800 in parking , because we forgot to put the tags on overnight or we just lost it on a weekend. The security only cares about reporting the cars with tags to the towing company and so that they can make some commission out of it. Many tenants has suggested that they put a warning notice on the car (unless its parked in someone else's spot) for few days and then tow it. But they wont listen. Couple times we lost the parking tag. This often happens when you take your car to servicing or cleaning and especially when your car cannot take the tag on the mirror. Each time we ended up paying $80 for replacement. It's true. If you live in a shady place, you get treated like one. There used to be some good office staff. But they're all gone. I heard now they have the worst ones , from our friends. Apart from all this, the rent keeps increasing every year at a rediculous rate. Beware you can be here for $1300 for a one bedroom and within few years you will be paying more than $2200 for the same. They won't show any consideration at all. Some of our friends from here who moved out even complained about not getting their deposits , inspite of keeping the place clean (inspite of their worn out doors, windows and so on). We just hope that we won't make another mistakke like this.
