Apartment Reviews for Meridian Apartments - San Jose

Meridian Apartments reside on the periphery of central San Jose and is a convenient commute to Campbell and Santa Clara. There is an eclectic mix of eateries in the neighborhood including Aqui Cal-Mex, , and Bill’s Cafe, a local favorite breakfast spot. Plenty of quick fix shops like Subway, Mr. Chau’s Chinese Fast Food, and Togo’s are close by. The community is enriched by cultural exhibitions that are great for weekend visits like the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum & Planetarium, the Tech Museum of Innovation, the Children’s Discovery Museum, and the San Jose Museum of Art. Despite the location, the building’s management has changed several times over the years, and reviewers report disruptive noise and poor complex maintenance.

After reading the past reviews on this complex to which I have lived since the past two Landlords. I find it amazing that the previous ratings are targeted as a personal attack towards the fairly new manager.

So, I decided to post a different view point. I have been here long enough to see what was done and hasn't been done throughout this complex. First, let me say, the elderly couple that was previously manging the property did they best they could. However, due to personal health reason they retired.

The next manager (Kim) was the worst I'ved ever seen. She was never availabe even at the emergency contact phone number during the wee hours of the morning to deal with a complete building sewage problem that could have cost the tenants possible damage to their personal property. The grounds at that time were not kept up.

Our newest manager Stella, has done an exceptional job since she arrived on the property. The grounds are being kept cleaned with workers she has hired to maintain the grounds. However, it's the families that live in the complex (not all) that let their children run around unsupervised that are throwing trash around and invading other renters private patio areas taking other tenants personal belongings.

There hasn't been one time that I've ever had any problem locating Stella to address a concern. She has been available at all times, even in some cases during her off hours, which is her private time. See what tenants don't understand is that the manager is here to manage the complex, and fix issues that come to her attention in a timely manner, but it takes both tenant and manager to work together.

The previous ratings "Do Not Speak For The Tenant Masses" of this complex. So, if in the future go around and take a poll before you speak for me.

In addition, I have seen this manager address issues immediately without discrimination towards anyone. In reference to when Stella came on board she attempted to make changes that she felt in her job capacity were the correct changes to make, that was her right!... So, don't down changes with each manager that comes on board, expect change, everyone has a different management style.

In closing, as far as I'm concerned Stella is GREAT! and the complex is GREAT!... We have far more freedoms on the complex to our benefit as tenants than we've ever had with our previous managers.
