Review for Park Plaza Apartments

Pros: Very nice pool and fitness center. The landscaping and landscaping maintenance is nice. The exteriors have recently been painted which improves the overall look. The interiors are also in good shape for their age.

Cons: Like many complexes in the area, parking is a nightmare. Rather than having two seperate parking spots you are assigned only one which has a hydraulic lift. You park your car on the lift and raise it up so your roomate can park underneath you. If you have to go somewhere and your car is on the top you have to move your roomates car, lower yours and pull it out and then pull your roomates car back onto the lift. If, like me, your roomate can't drive a stick shift you end up doing all of the switching yourself. You can get an additional parking spot for $40/month but htye are often hard to come by. If you have a guest over you can get a guest parking pass but there are only so many to go around and you can't them two days in a row.

The worst thing is the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms. There is a small unit in the living room that is rather loud but does help cool off the room but in the bedroom there is nothing at all. On a day where the temperature reaches 85-95 you literally sweat in the bedroom. There have been nights where I have slept in the living room because the bedroom was unbearably hot.

All in all it's not a bad place to live. Close to the beaches, shopping, etc.
