Review for The Courtyards At South Coast Apartments

Was not allowed to view apt B4 signing lease and we only moved from 1 apt to another in same bldg. Place smelled musty and reeked of pet urine. Previous tenant (an employee) had 10 cats and we got blamed for damage to carpet even though we noted on move-in check list. Management definitely NOT responsive, espeically since were are young, and they categorically denied any mold or water damaged was present or existed, and they accused us of being unclean people. We had the place tested by a professional and its FULL of TOXIC MOLD and they still want rent money!!! They never put anything in writing when we went to office to complain. Unit did not have 2 straps on water heater (1 was sitting on the floor & not attached to anything) and the exterior door was hollow core and about to fall apart instead of being solid wood door as per code. The leasing manager and the lead maintenance guy are both rude and uncooperative. Maintenance guy does not know difference from water damaged dry wall and a bad patch job!!! They will be nice to your face; take your money and stab you in the back!!! That is how we were treated!
