Review for Villas At Tustin Apartments

1.) The Awful Parking We were assigned 1 covered spot (mine was pretty far from my apartment) and had to pay $25/month (and much more for a spot closer to the apartments) for a spot on the other side of the apartment complex. I have never felt safe leaving my car and have had to empty out my car every night in fear of it being stolen. There are no gates to keep outsiders out and walking back to the apartment late at night always felt like a huge risk to be taking and I would recommend taking pepper spray with you since the security patrol guys are either invisible or of no use whatsoever.

2.) Short Notice Maintenance As another person who reviewed Villas mentioned, they will post notices on your door less than 24 hours earlier about needing to go inside your house for some kind of maintenance work...and this happens more than just once in a while. I don't know about the rest of you but I personally would rather not be out of my home when I have strangers in my apartment.

3.) Management - The Worst Part of It All During the time I lived there, there were so many changes in management. When I first rented the apartment, a very friendly lady assisted me and was very helpful. Soon after, she and the other office people that I was familiar with disappeared and more and more unfriendly, rude, and nonprofessional office staff replaced them. They were horrible at posting announcements on our doors on time so many people ended up misinformed. Management really tries to trick you into being penalized for not giving in the 2-3 month notice before actually leaving (even if your 1 year lease is ending on a specific month). They do this by posting a letter on your door about 2-3 months before your lease ends that has checkboxes that allow you to let them know if you are planning on leaving or interested in renewing your lease for a 1 and a half year (approximate) period for a specific price or rent monthly for a much higher rate. The term they offer you after your 1 year lease has expired, is a term longer than 1 year. Now, if this letter has been sent to you the first year your lease ended, by the time your next lease is ending and that paper is hanging on your door 2-3 months before your lease ends, it makes you think that that is an obvious enough notice letting them know that you will be moving out as soon as your lease ends. They purposely try to trick you into being charged the penalty. They also know by the time you are moving out that you are going to be charged the penalty. If they were decent people, they should have told the tenants that they would be charged rent as the penalty for not giving 2-3 months (before your lease ends) notice. The apartment complex really isn't that big so there's no way that they did not know about it.

All in all, it is a horrible, horrible place to live, and as the other reviewer of Villas mentioned in the other post, management is the main reason why this apartment should be absolutely avoided at all costs.
