See if they call you back. He has also been telling potential residents that they will be "converting part of the office building to build a workout room in a year". This is a lie as he could not tell me what contractor was going to do the work. He tried to cover his lie by saying that they were accepting bids for the work but could not provide the date on when bids were to be accepted. Once I made a call to corporate, they confirmed that this was not true and that they were NOT looking into making any property improvements due to the economy. They have elliminated the rent drop-off box, stateing that rent can ONLY be paid online w/a service charge, or in person durring their "buisiness hours" which they are conveniently never around, or, if they are, the DOORS ARE ALWAYS LOCKED. This in turn will assure you a late fee of 50+. Not to mention the rents are all $300 more than other apartments in the area. The walls are a lot thinner than anywhere else I have ever lived in. If you come by just ask a resident that lives in the apartment next to the one that you are seeing to simply turn on a radio or TV to a "normal" level and then go inside the vacant apartment and see for yourself. The comuter train noise that is on the other side of the retaining wall is a whisper compared to the commercial trains that run by slowly blowing their horn at 3:00 in the morning. The water pipes are an issue by themseves. They are a SHARED (with next door neighbor) .25' pipe that clogs up at least once a month, so you should buy stock in Drano. If your neighbor doesn't know how to use a garbage disposal, you'll come home to a flooded kitchen sink, foul smelling, diseased backed up water all over the place and an excuse for why they can't fix your backed up kitchen AND/OR shower drains. SHARED water pipes also means that your water bill is an accumulative of how much water you AND YOUR NEIGHBORS USE!! A SINGLE APARTMENT WATER USEAGE SHOULD BE APPROX. $40-$50, NOT $100 . Laundry room is locked after 10:00 PM and there is no change machine. Better have quarters. Spend your time and hard earned money elsewhere.
