Review for Palm Villa Apartments

(2 bed/1bath) - Nice spacious bedrooms. Can be noisy with kids running around and firetrucks blaring throughout the day (at least once or twice a week). Biggest bonus is that this place is fairly cheap but they increased rent slightly when lease expired.

Kitchen and bathroom are ok - very small. It was not cleaned well from previous tenant. Mold in dark corners and old cabinets - didnt notice til we moved in and started cleaning everything. They look good on the surface.

Management - ok. We hardly talk to her and I doubt she knows our names. We locked ourselves out once - no one in the apartment complex seem to know where the manager lives and we left her a voicemail but she never returned the call to see if we got in ok. Lucky for us our friend was agile and was able to climb to the second floor and enter that way.

However, the manager does unlock doors to your apartment for strangers who claim to know you. Always prompt to give complaint - cant have anything on balcony which pretty much meant a branch from the palm tree which had fallen onto our balcony. Could have easily asked us nicely to remove it but instead gave us a complaint and threaten to charge fee for making the apartment complex look "ugly". It was barely noticeable in my opinion and it wasnt our fault a branch fell there. Also received a complaint about putting boxes on the balcony when everyone else in the community had bikes, toys, and plenty of "ugly" junk in their patio area.

Pool - not heated and gates closed most of summer. Pointless.

This is an ok place to live if you are looking for cheap spacious bedrooms and dont spend too much time in the kitchen. If you like plants and want them on your balcony make sure the balcony faces south or you'll get no sun on that side of the apartment.
