Lived in this apartment for 1 year while going to Cal Poly. A lot of families with little kids live here, so there's lots of children yelling, playing, hitting your wall with their toys as they play. If you live on the 2nd floor, you can hear their footsteps as they run around the catwalk along the apartments.

There's no security at all at this place. There's a few lights that stay on until 1 or 2 AM, but after that, no lights are on. If you're a night owl expect to walk to your apartment in the dark all the time.

PARKINGS IS HORRID. A 2-bedroom only gets 1 spot, and there's maybe 15 guest spots. They're a 96 hour parking limit on guest spots, but it's never enforced so many families leave their cars there for months without moving. Spiderwebs attach the car to the ground, so you know they're never moved. There's no street parking in Walnut, so if you come anytime after 12:00 noon, don't expect to find any parking whatsoever.

Appearance is very bad. First off, they must hire the cheapest people to take care of the lawn, trees, and any other bushes that they can find. They don't care, blow dust on and under cars instead of sweeping it up, they blow tree and bush trimmings under the bushes and in the lawn, so any wind blows it right back to where it was. The inside isn't great either. My door's locks are so bad, sometimes it takes a lot of force to pull out my key, and the screws that hold the door are falling out. Only reason why I give this place a 2, is because when I file a maintenance request, they keep the scheduled time.

Management is hard to deal with. They have a lot of empty promises, such as enforcing the parking situation. They act very very nice until you move in and sign the lease. After that, they have already got you, and have a 2 MONTH fee for cutting the lease early!

Overall, this place is terrible. There's only 1 cable company offered in Walnut, so they can overcharge. Also, according to the technician from Charter, depending on where your apartment is your cable internet speeds can vary drastically. It all depends on how many apartments it splits to until it reaches yours. I'm in the unlucky spot of being in the last apartment, so even though I pay extra for a 5MBit connection, I hit a 1MBit connect if I'm lucky.

There's plenty of other apartments and townhouses near by that I'm sure are a much better value.
