Review for Strathmore Apartments

First there is the trash. It is nice they pick it up. But the rules say to leave it out from 6 to 8 am and it will be removed at 8. Right? Nope. That is rare. The trash is usually there till 9, or 10, or 11 or whenever. And you are not supposed to leave it outside your door .. but people do. At least my neighboor did. A nice attractive pile of it too.

Then there is the dog poop. The tennants are careless. But if there is poop on the sidewalk, why does it have to be there for 3 weeks. Or 4. Or 5! You get the picture. Its pretty nasty sitting right there, right outside the door to the laundry room.

The office staff seem nice .. but not too swift. I moved in in Jan. A package was sent to me in Mar but the sender didn't have my apartment number. So FedEx went to the office to look it up and they didn't have me in the system! I should try not paying rent and seeing what they say. Also what is the deal with the decoration in the office? Good lord. They had the Price Is Right stuff up for like 3 months .. then Valentines Days stuff up until nearly mid March .. and now a construction theme? How about something a little more professional and a little less dorm!

The walls do not keep heat in. We had some really cold nights this winter and even with the heater at 73, it felt cold as soon as the heat turned off. Not very efficient.

The equipment in the gym is okay .. but if a machine breaks, it is broken for weeks! Better find an alternative. And if there are more than 4 people in there, it is a but too full.

Even with all these faults .. I would recommend this place becuase it is better than most places that I've lived in

Now for the good stuff. I love my view. Every evening I get to watch the sun set over the Front Range mountains. It is just the nicest thing to see. Something I will greatly miss when I leave.
