Review Title:   Cop Got Shot Here In Late 2006
Reviewer:   Anonymous
Review Date:   11/6/2007

I am a former resident of this hellhole. I was new to the area and the staff were nice and the demo she showed me had all hardwood floors and a very homelike feel to it. Well, when I actually moved in, my unit was filthy. The light grey carpet was stained in more than 50 places and there were numerous holes in the walls. Furthermore, there were more than 100 dead cockroaches in the cupboards. But, I was an Orkin guy at the time and bugs are no prob for me. Still, I digress. About a week after I moved in, I realized that I was the ONLY english speaking person in the building. The 1 bedroom unit next to me was occupied by no less than 15 people. Under me in the 2 bedroom, 8 people lived. I don't think they ever slept. When it came time to pay my rent, I was informed that they only accept cash payments. This is obviously done because this apartment rents primarily to illegal aliens. If you look in the parking lot, 90% of the cars have liscence tags that are 2-3 years out of registration. 2 months after I moved in, somone was doing meth in the post office building and burned it down. The building across from me also caught fire and 1 unit was burned completely (meth lab...it made the news.) Seeing the apparent danger to my health and well-being, I decided to move out. 1 week prior to leaving, an Aurora police officer was gunned down by a resident here and it took the cops a full day of seiging his apartment to get him out. This apartment complex is: 1) Not for anyone with children. If you care for your kids, DO NOT move here. 2) Completely unsafe. Rampant drug and gang activity abound here. 3) Illegal aliens use this apartment complex as a safe house. They pile in to the 1-2 bedroom units by the dozen. In and of itself this isn't bad per se, except for the fact that they're also the ones causing all the trouble. IE, it was made fact on the local news that illegals, set both fires, blew up the meth lab, and shot the police officer. And lastly, 4) The staff primarily speak spanish. IF you need an English speaking representative to talk to, you need to call ahead to schedule. The maintenance people do not speak English either. Hope you're good at your own repairs. In summary, this place pawns itself off as a nice little place. When you move in, they show you to a unit "down the street" where the real place is you will be living. It's just a real seedy place with very shady business practices. Sure, it's real cheap...but they have zero security, no lighting in the parking lot and dumpsters are in horrible places...like right beside the playground. I can't stress enough how unsafe this place is. If you want to have yourself or your kid shot...move here! Oh, if you work for I.C.E., please, PLEASE raid this place. Thanks.
