Review for Lowry Village Apartments

The agent that signed me up wrote my lease wrong, so that there was no penalty to breaking the lease written in, but at the same the preferential rent rate for my lease was not fixed into the computer (only written on the lease). The whole time the computer system kept saying that i owed a balance (the difference between month to month and the 12-mo lease rate) and she had been throwing out the slips. I didn't discover this until she quit/was fired and there was a total management turnover. it was a mess and they threatened to ruin my credit if i didn't pay almost $2000 in made-up fines for breaking the lease. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKED. the new manager even wrote stipulations on paperwork after i had signed it, and i made her tear it up. they count on people either being only semi-literate, or hope that you don't speak english (a lot of the families did their business through bilingual children, as neither parent spoke english). Insulation is great, since they pay utilities, but otherwise, the workmanship on everything is severely sub-standard. Don't count on maintenance, they are as likely to steal your stuff as fix anything, and although it says no smoking in the building, it always smelled as though someone was puffing marlboros into the heating ducts.
