You're better off in homeless shelter until you can rent from someone else. Really - consider it. Upon signing the lease I was told that at the end of my tenancy to NOT fill in the nail holes. Why? Because I was lucky to win a battle through my lawyer that they not charge me for painting which is normal wear and tear so they withheld $200.00 of the $500.00 for painting to then charge for filling in the nail holes. Would have taken me fifteen minutes. They tweak the utility charges every which way they can so that every several months you have to pay over $100.00 extra per month - immediately. The building I was in had a common meter - that's illegal. Last tenants before me said they were charged an extra month's rent because SS's bookkeeping was wrong. Yeah. Read the Boulder landlord/tenant laws and make them aware they cannot charge for painting and normal wear and tear or cleaning your carpets or charge you for cleaning for eight hours after you've cleaned it perfectly. There were no fire walls between units and the outside doors were hollow core (illegal) and you could see outside through the edge. Walls and floors were not insulated. We froze, yet they kept charging without repairing. They should change their name to Suckyside. DO NOT RENT FROM SUNNYSIDE. TELL YOUR FRIENDS.
