Apartment Review for Champions At Norwood

Wow!! This place was awesome! Much better than where we came from& my wife and I thought (and were told by the management) that this place was a little slice of heaven. And we bought it! What a bunch of suckers we were!!!! <P>
This place looks like a knock-out  Fountain and everything. & But you would not believe the shoddy construction when you look REAL close. There was sooooo many things that were slopped together in there. Light switches crooked, molding crooked in many spots, no coat closet by door (had to walk aaaalll the way to the other side of the apt), bumps underfoot in the carpet (perhaps sheetrock mudding?), crookedly hung fixtures, etc, etc& <P>
When you take the tour, this place is truly awesome& my wife and I were about ready to wet our pants with excitement. We wanted in&badly& That is all we could think about until we finally did. But MAN!! What a HUGE disappointment. We found out after the 1st day we moved in how hollow and incredibly bad this place was built. As mentioned above, everything was crooked and slopped together. But more amazingly there is like NO insulation or sound barrier between you and EVERYONE else! The place is like living in a tent. Very drafty, and you can hear everything everyone else is saying. The people were SO NOISY upstairs just walking around I thought they were going to come clashing down on top of us. And the people below us continuously slammed there door ALL DAY LONG! It would make the glass in our coffee table jump and rattle around ALL THE time from stomping and door slamming&.. <P>
& and then we heard it& from 2 different neighbors! We could clearly hear 2 different neighbors (at diff times of course) having intercourse loudly& I heard every moment of it& and it made me sick& I almost threw up in the toilet every time I heard it. The moaning, the wild screams& oh MY GOSH! And then in the apt kitty corner to us we could hear this lady getting sick in her bathroom and throwing up over and over... <P>
Long story short, we moved out 2 months before our lease ended&. YES, it was that bad. I paid out big time& and then after I paid ALL that extra money, I kept getting bills from them for 2 more months after for utils& once I believe I was paying for someone elses heating because the bill was very high. <P>
We paid at least $100 / month for heating and gas costs. There is no place to store food because cabinet space is VERY poorly organized& you think they could of sacrificed that stupid wine rack for more cabinet space so you dont have to have your canned food stacked in the corner of your counter tops& You decide for yourself. Try the other apts up the road on Austin Bluffs& they looked a lot better. <P>
Indeed, I like the other reviewer was so disgusted, we moved out of the state!! This apartment complex drove me mad to the point that I was sick of Colorado. I suppose thats ok because I landed a good job in my new state of residence. <P>
