Review for Champions At Norwood Apartments

Needing temporary housing my family chose the Champions of Norwood apartment complex. The exterior was appealing and the interior seemed satisfactory. The staff was friendly and helpful, so we took the apartment with the understanding that we could cancel the lease within 30 days for whatever reason. Well, we did cancel our lease within the 30 days. Be warned, this means you have to move out completely within the 30 day period and you get charged a higher rental rate, plus they tack on a bunch of suspicious fees.

The noise level is awful, and when you complain, nothing gets done. The walls are paper thin. If you examine these apartments be sure to feel the bathroom walls. If you push too hard your hand will go through the wall. Maintenance is horrible. The doors need repaired, etc.

Most of all, beware of the contract. They do not tell you the whole story. We lived there a total of 3 weeks, left the apartment cleaner than we found it, and walked away with a small refund of $200. Unbelievable. We should have received about $1000 to our records. Somewhere in the small print on the contract are hidden clauses.

Do not rent here. You will be disappointed.
