the units are nice, the rent is reasonable and the grounds are well cared for. The staff is friendly and have regualar tennet gatherings (wine tastings, cook outs) though that's not really my thing. Having lived in several different aparments in several states I find living at Tallon Hill to be a wonderful experiance - Steve V

We opted for this "higher end/ higher cost" apt community for their location and the appearance of quality. The layouts are nice but in fact the overall quality is no better than any other apt community. Make sure you take photis and report and MINOR damage prior to move in. We left the unit in better condition than we found it, but were still charged for defects that existed before we took occupancy. The burden of proof is on you, (is their rational), very typical.

I just renewed my lease two months ago from moving in when Talon Hill just opened! I love it here!
The staff is always friendly and makes me feel like family. They do so many resident activities which are always packed! All my neighbors from what I hear, are happy too. They have monthly breakfast and jst eld a HUGE summer BBQ where they gave away free rent and had a HUGE blow up slide! My daughter loved it.
The only complaint I think I would have to add is that there isnt a gas station near by and sometimes I have bugs in my apartment. The staff says its because of the new construction and has the exterminator out within the same week to take care of the problem.
I am shocked to read some of the things people are writing on here because I do not see this complex in the same way... I think people need to give it a better chance and stop complaining all the time. This is one of the nicest apartments I have ever lived in. The girls in the office make me feel like family every morning when I come down for coffee and the maiteneance staff is always very responsive.
Rats in the Garage

Recently I purchase a new boxspring. We waited a week for the bed frame to show up, so I figured the bed would be ok in the garage for a few days. When I went to move the matress, I noticed a hole in the bottom. Apparentely I had a rat nest in my garage and never realized it! While trying to poison the rats and clean up the destroyed bedding, I then noticed what seems to bea nest of some type of red flying ant-stlye bugs. This is not what I bargained for!!! Keep your things in plastic if you live at Talon Hill Apartments and use the garage as storage. They may have termites too... HA!

....and the rest of the maint. staff! You have always been very friendly and responsive to the needs of the apartment community. You seem to be genuine even when called late to fix a problem. You guys that do the grunt work around here should really be considered for a promotion!!!! Thanks so much for all your efforts in keeping the Talon Hill Apartments in great shape and for trying to keep the pool warm last winter even in seub-zero temps.

I wish I could say great things too about the management staff at Talon Hill Apartments in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Unfortunately they were cold, and bitter folks to deal with and made the first of each month a real drag when knowing we had to face them to bring in our rent payment. Victoria promises to make your move inconvenient and uncomfortable as she'll make you park your truck along the perimiter of the property and Dolly everything piece by piece while packing up!

The staff smiles very nicely, but they are not nice. They make you feel like you are an annoying, picky person if you try to talk to them about any questions or problems. The high electric bill cannot be explained, and the water bill just went way up for no reason. The apartment looked very nice when I moved in, but actually living in them shows very poor quality workmanship. For the price they charge, I expected much more.

Unfortunately, you really DO NOT get what you pay for when it comes to renting apartment units at Talon Hill in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Talon Hill is the most expensive apartment building complex in the city of Colorado Springs. While the building are new, and have great NEW appliances, there are plenty of things that coulod be done to improve this complex.

The amenities are available on a "part-time" schedule at best. The pool has never been warm enough to enjoy, and the hot tub for some reason is always scolding hot!

They have a beautiful game room and computer room, but unfortunately, they close those down by 6pm most nights excepts for Friday.

Lastly, I have been in sales and customer service for 15 years. I must say that the staff will without question make you feel as if you are a criminal for even asking a friendly question. They are quick to say NO, and SLOW to try to come up with a solution.

Also, FYI when moving in or out - Parking IS VERY LIMITED! You can expect to be asked by the staff to park on the outskirts of the complex and move your items via a dolly.

Bottom line is...... While the neighborhood is GREAT and the proximity to the interstate and area businesses is AWESOME, My suggestion would be to move on. There are plenty of places in this town that are equally as nice ans offer you less hassle for your money.

Happy Renting and good luck!!
