Apartment Review for Windtree Apartments

I have lived in apartments all over this country and consider myself as close to an ideal tenant as there is. Yet, my experience at Windtree has prompted my first-ever negative review. The complex is about 25 years old and the upkeep is minimal; crumbling concrete steps, torn outdoor carpet, twisted and mangled carports covers, filthy garbage areas. Reserved parking is not enforced when some knucklehead parks in your spot. Inside, the paint is sloppy, the carpet has huge wrinkles (fall risk for old folks), poor insulation from both cold and noise. When its cold and windy, you will have to red-line your thermostat to enjoy a balmy 60 degrees. You can expect to forfeit any "damage deposit." They told me on my "walk-through" just prior to my leaving that "everything was fine." Then they kept my entire deposit and charged me extra!! These folks don't play fair. Couldn't wait to leave.
