I loved my apartment when I first moved in and thought the management, maintenance and security were wonderful. I felt safe. Gradually over the next few months, everything went downhill. The maintenance was horrible, no security (with locked secure front doors being propped open all the time so anyone could enter - to garage doors that wouldn't close and people vandalizing cars inside the garage), and the management staff would take a complaint, write it down but not put it in the computer to be dealt with. Carpets in the hallways and by the elevator were dirty with stains, trash all over the garages. People moved in that just didn't care, and it showed. Appliances weren't fixed until they broke down, even though multiple complaints were taken to management. Loud music and voices in the parking lot made it impossible to sleep some nights. The swimming pool last summer had dirty water much of the time, you couldn't even see the bottom of the pool, it was so cloudy. The jacuzzi was broken. Having different management and a name change DID NOT change the problems. The rent went up and people wonder what they are paying for. They are still there and getting worse, from what people I became friendly with that are stilll at Alta Springs, but looking for housing elsewhere. It would be interesting to know in a 6 month period just how many people moved out.....I know of 12 apartment renters that left during that time, and it was because of the problems I mentioned above. It's truly too bad that what used to be a top notch place, from what I've heard, has turned to this.
