I lived in El Castillo for almost a year. LOVED the apartment except for it's lack of central air and the fact that it roasted all summer long (I could have made bread bake in the middle of my living room). The neighbors and neighborhood were awesome ..... one BIG problem - ROACHES. Tiny (and not so tiny) roaches scurried about. I tried to remedy the problem myself and keep some clorox bleach on hand, I sponged down the kitchen counter daily. I keep my place as neat as a pin but it got to the point that I didn't even feel comfortable leaving cereal boxes in the cabinets. I never wanted anyone to go in the kitchen. Those little monsters made my stomach curl. One night I had guest over for cocktails and someone said, "What's That" and sure enough a little COCKROACH scurried in zig zag fashion down the wall. Don't trade perfect location for perfect harmony, the building is ROACH INFESTED!
