I found the Parkway on the web before moving to Denver, and it looked nice enough, so I sent a deposit before moving here. The Parkway ad didn't mention being so close to colleges, so it was completely like a noisy dorm, complete with constant loud music, parties, and annoying neighbors (no, I'm not a grouchy 65-year-old, it was just ridiculous). I spent nearly $1000/month in rent and parking, and had my very old, chipped kitchen sink overflow with disgusting smelly black gunk, bubbled-up carpet that smelled like cat pee, light switches located in the vicinity of my knees, and I paid for a parking spot that was not guaranteed (after weeks of finding parking only on the street, I stopped paying parking). On the flip side, the leasing people are very nice, and occasionally they offer deals to new renters, but overall, the place is waaaaaay overpriced for what you're getting---you could live at the new Ballpark lofts with wood floors, granite counters, and in-unit washer and dryer (oh, and parking---guaranteed) for the same price.
