I would highly recommend AMLI at Lowry Estates.

Of course, everyone’s experience is different, but, in my case, I’ve found the apartment to be modern, quite spacious, absolutely beautiful, clean, and well proportioned; with ample attention to small details.

Moreover, when occasional interaction with the staff has been required, they have been helpful, efficient, and quick to respond.

Immediately behind the apartment complex is Westerly Creek Dam (45 feet high, and 1.5 miles long) built by the Army Corps of Engineers, - providing a wonderful scenic view of the mountains and the surrounding fields. In fact, a path, about a minute from my apartment, leads to the top of the dam, which looks down upon a sublime 50-acre wetland native wildlife area.

[As a point of information: prior to construction of Westerly Creek Dam, the area, including Lowry Estates, was the site of the former Lowry Air Force Base, consisting of buildings, runways, trench landfills, and other components required for base operations. It was home of the United States Air Force Academy from 1954 to 1958, but Lowry was permanently closed by actions of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC II) commission in 1994, and it has since been redeveloped.]

My apartment looks out at the Lowry Sports Complex, which includes basketball courts, tennis courts, a baseball field, a playground, and seven regulation sized soccer fields (also used for lacrosse). Two of these fields feature synthetic turf and lights for night-time play.

Although I have a car, instead, I often partake of two nearby bus stops (the number 3 and the number 6) that make travel to Cherry Creek and downtown Denver fun and easy.

There is an Albertson’s supermarket just a 15 minute walk away, and, on a nice day, to take a stroll to Albertson’s, after crossing the Sports Complex fields, one passes the “Wings Over the Rockies” museum, - where a 1955 vintage B-52B Stratofortress is parked outside.
Anyway, be all of this as it may be, I like it.

In full disclosure, I must admit that I recently moved here from New York City, and that the open sky and friendly people of Colorado have made a deeply positive impression on me.
