There are new owners here and I just moved into a newly remodeled apartment. The prices are good for the area and they have been doing a lot of upgrading to the buildings and the complex.

The office people are nice - I like it here!

Our place is falling apart. My car got hit,we wrongfully got charged three months of sewer and water (water bill) because of a mistake the billing company did. It seems they are letting just about anybody move in. Just waiting on my lease to be over..

I moved in a couple months ago, and had a very smooth transition into my new place! The leasing staff were nice and helpful. The common areas are kept clean and tidy. And the maintenance staff are great. I really enjoy living here.

I just recently moved into this apartment complex from Arizona about 2 months ago and I have yet to see any problems with the office staff or the apartment. I have read a few reviews online about the apartments being infested with bedbugs. My only question about the bedbugs is how did they get there? It has been my experience that bedbugs don't just manifest from nowhere. They are usually brought in through furniture that has been already exposed to the infestation. I've also read some reviews that stated complaints about the appearance of the units. As far as the apartments not looking like the pictures, seriously?!? No apartment I have ever rented in my life looks exactly like the photos that are posted. On this site a red a review by someone who claimed that the apartment was unclean and that the neighbors were loud. I refuse to believe that the apartment was filthy. My apartment is not one of the remodeled units just so we're clear, but the apartment and carpeting were in fantastic condition. Loud neighbors are a reality no matter where you live. If you have a problem with the noise call the police. The apartment complex cannot do anything to help you if you don't help yourself first. It's not their job to babysit tenants.

Very convenient to Tech Ctr. Rent collection is messed up, they collect rent, then utilities separately. If you are late, they only accept cashiers check(!), just an indication of collection practices. Ask about this if you are considering renting! If you don't get them two checks on time, you have a problem. Parking is also a mess, I've regularly had to park two buildings away. Pool is crowded in summer. Hot tub rarely works right. They increase rent every renewal, so be aware. No bed bugs, but it doesn't surprise me. Fairly quiet. Had a problem with AC, didn't have AC for about 2 wks during hottest summer month. Very dated decor. Not enough lights. Appliances worked, but older. Decent temporary stay, but wouldn't recommend long term at all. It isn't terrible, it's fairly cheap, but it isn't great!

I moved in before they started the renovations and everything looks great. They sent a survey before, askign what we wanted, and they really listened to everything I said. The place looks beautiful!!! A+++

I am a young single mother who moved into this apartment complex in Dec. 2004. I have lived here for seven months and hope to resign the lease. I have never once needed to complain about anything. My neighbors and people I see walking on the street are friendly and I have never had any problems with anyone. There have been minor, typical apartment complex problems such as the door to my building has a buzzer to let people in from your apartment, and that has not worked since I got here. At times the garage doors have broken and would just stay open for a day or two. The staff at the leasing office are friendly and I have seen them assisting others with their problems (rent, etc.) as well as received help with mine as well. I read another review on this complex and it was horrible, I think that person had one bad experience with something and is bitter so they made a LOT up. I have never once seen a car vandalized or personal belongings stolen and the noise level is only inconvient from the traffic from the highway (which my apartment is right next to). Many nights I have come home late and I have never seen people walking outside causing commotion. Everyone is so nice here (even the "hispanics and black males" and by the way, I have never seen ANYONE using drugs). This is a wonderful environment for me and my daughter and we have seen many other families here with their small children. I feel very safe and recommend this to anyone.

I've lived in a variety of apartment complexes, both lower-end and higher-end than Summit Ridge. I have to say that for the amount of rent that you pay here, you get GREAT value.
Here are the Pros:
I love the staff... they are very friendly and fix our problems the next business day after we report them. The grounds are beautifully kept in the summer, even to the point that some of the people in our building love to go out and play frisbee on the lawn, and others sit under a shade tree and read. Regarding the previous two reviews, I'm wondering if these individuals ended up in a bad building or something similar. Our neighbors are all extremely friendly and honest and we regularly help each other out. We have never had anything stolen or vandalized. Only once was the neighbor next to us too loud and we simply asked that he tone it down and he did and has been quiet ever since. Another of our neighbors is an older lady that has been living there almost since it was built and just loves it. She continued to live there after she retired from the DTC life and has no intention of moving. Another plus is that the buildings are nearing the end of renovation, with new paint, carpeting, etc. It's shaping up very nicely. I also want to mention that although I have seen the police there, on four separate occasions during the 2-1/2 years that I've lived there, these occasions were repeatedly for the same two families who have since been evicted. There have been no issues since. And finally, the square footage of the apartments is absolutley huge for the amount of rent being paid. Do the comparisons yourself for neighboring complexes and you'll see the difference.
Now for the cons:
It is true that the parking situation is dire. I ended up paying a little extra for a garage space so that I would have set parking and not have to worry about it. The security gates do occasionally get stuck in the open position in the winter because of the freezing temperatures. Also, the complex backs up to I-225, so the freeway noise can get a little lound depending on which way your apartment is facing. These are the only negative things that I can think of.
Overall, I am truly enjoying my stay here. I just renewed my least for another 18 months, the longest lease offered. The office also reduced my rent when I renewed my lease. This is the only complex that I've lived in that hasn't raised the rent upon lease expiration. I have already recommended Summit Ridge to several friends who are currently unhappy with their respective apartment complexes. I recommend that you come here and check the place out and see if you feel that it's right for you. Give it a fair chance... you'll find that it's a great place.
