ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!

My significant other and I have been living here for 6 months now, and started experiencing problems with this complex, the week we moved in! To start with, despite the few bad reviews we saw, we still moved in because they were running a special on a loft style apartment. BIG MISTAKE!

The police, fire department, or ambulances are here at least 3 times a week for one reason or another. We saw a review prior to moving in that someone was stabbed outside their apartment and the maintenance did not clean up the blood for 7 days after the incident.

Upon moving in, we noticed quite a few things that were not in order with the apartment. Firstly, every door in the apartment had some sort of a problem. The utility doors look like someone beat them for hours, one door even has blood smears in it that will not come off, the door for the bathrooms drag or do not latch unless you throw yourself into them, and lastly, our front door was crooked in the frame and was too small for the frame, so our entire apartment was freezing, our first two energy bills were over $200!! Not only that, when I requested that things be repaired, there is always a lack of communication with the office staff, it took 3 months for the front door to be replaced, and it took until June to have the office staff comp our rent for the excessive energy bills!

The complex had no organization with parking when we moved in, we constantly had to park by the dumpsters, or what seemed like a mile from our apartment. They implicated parking passes in March, and since I have never removed my pass from my rear view mirror. I went to leave for work two weeks ago, and my car was double booted on the driver side. I tried to call the security company and the number on the sign went to a busy signal and hung up on me, and the number on the ticket was disconnected, tried my leasing office multiple times, no one answered, I finally reached someone at the leasing office at 4:30PM, 8 1/2 HOURS AFTER I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TO WORK, and they gave me the number for the security company, I called twice and finally got ahold of someone, (apparently the owner forwards the business calls to his cell, which is why I got a busy signal all morning), finally reached someone and they didn't send someone out to my apartment to unhook my car until 8:45PM!!! So, not only was I forced to pay the unhooking fee, but I also missed out on an entire day of work. I took a $175 hit, and asked the property manager to help me with something because this entire situation could have been avoided if the security company was thourough and actually looked for my pass, and the response I got, in summary was "It's not our fault, tough luck!" (My rearview mirror attaches at my headliner, unlike most vehicles that attach to the windshield, my pass was sitting directly behind the sun tint on my windshield.)

We have specifically requested to be present any time any staff member needs to enter our apartment, and I know for a fact that they have entered the property on at least one occasion, without permission, while we were not home, and did not leave a notice about their visit. I have had landlords steal my belongings in the past and I feel it is my right to know when people are entering my place of residence.

There is one reliable office employee, named Juan. Other than that, all the other employees act incompetent and are extremely rude when you try to express any problems. They fail to relay all maintenance requests, they talk to you like a child, make you feel completely belittled, and if you are two hours late with your rent, they are like vultures with notices, even after I scheduled a payment arrangement!

OH! Not to mention, beg bugs, ants, mold, water damage, and mildew, I didn't feel like writing a specific occasion with any of those, because they are CONSISTENT!!!!!!!!

My advice, if you vaule your dignity and want to be treated with respect, DO NOT move here!!! You will regret it!!!
