Alexan Citycenter has a lot going for it, but there are problems. There are two things they do not disclose until you sign the final lease, which for me was moving day. First, know that when they talked highly of how they are pre-wired for internet, Alexan has a contract with Century Link. You will NOT BE ALLOWED to use any other internet or cable service provider. (interestingly enough, there is no discount, but I suspect Alexan gets a kickback) Secondly, they have a mandatory trash service for which you will be charged $25.00 per month, so factor that in to your costs as well as a $2.50 per month pest fee. Also know that the floors are wood and squeak badly, so plan on hearing every step from your neighbors above.

The reviews on this site tend to be very biased towards people who have had a bad experience with their apartment. (Except for the glowing reviews that sound like brochures, those are posted by landlords.) This is partly because people with a bad experience are more motivated to post, and partly because apartment living in general has gone downhill in recent years. It seems like landlords and builders today don't even care if tenants renew their lease -- as long as the tenants sign the first lease and find out later that the walls are cardboard and the management is poor, the landlord can squeeze 9-12 months of rent out of them before they bolt. That said, this site is still the best resource for apartment hunters. You just have to read reviews with a grain of salt and think about the motivations of the poster.
I lived at Alexan City Center for a few months back in 2003, and I found it to be excellent. I thought it was a bit overpriced, though, and eventually decided that if I was going to be paying downtown prices for an apartment, I might as well be living downtown.
However, Alexan City Center was sold to another landlord just before I moved out, and it's quite common for new management to try to milk properties by skimping on service and compensating by hiring smoother talking salespeople. So, while I had a good experience at Alexan, you probably want to listen to someone who's lived there more recently.
Good luck with your apartment hunting.
