Review Title:   Not So Bad.

I stayed in this apartment complex from 2001-2002 and after seeing so many bad reviews for this place, I have decided to include a more objective review since most of the time nobody rights anything unless they really hate the place... - Never had a hard time finding a parking spot but the it was sometime difficult to pull in and out of the parking spots because it was tight. - Walls are cinder block. Negative perspective could be that they are not that appealing and you can't hang things on them easily. Postive perspective is that the walls are pretty sound proof, so you don't bother your roomates and neighbors that much and they don't bother you. - Everything is ground floor. Negative, not that asthetic. Postive, no stairs or elevator. - Has an indoor hot tub and weight room. Negative, sometimes the hot tub was pretty crowded and sometimes had people drinking and taking it over. Postive, weight room had everything I wanted along with a tv. And the majority of the time the hot tub was to myself or with friendly people. - Condition, the carpet was a little lived in but not too bad. The high traffic areas were worn and it wasn't the most modern color of brown I have seen. But the walls and countertops were in excellent shape. The bathroom had some patches in it but didn't have any problems. - Floor plan is good for watching tv in your living room from the kitchen. But on the negative side you can hear a lot of noise from the kitchen when trying to watch TV Neighbors - When I was there it was actually mostly foreign students that kept to themselves in the area I was in. I said hi to them only once or twice. We didn't bother each other at all but they weren't super friendly. The rest of the neighbors through out the community were some single parent families but mostly students or young people. Security - The neighborhood didn't seem to have any problems. Didn't hear of anybody having anything stolen, and didn't see broken glass in the parking lot. But, there wasn't any security as far as I knew, just lights. Laundry - was about 3-4 minute walk from my unit. Didn't feel super comfortable about just leaving my stuff in there, but did it anyway and never had anything stolen. Sometimes everything was being used but it wasn't usual.

Overall - I don't have anything to compare it to in Fort Collins. But, compared to other places in other towns, I used the weight room alot and hot tub, and I liked that very much. I liked the cinder blocks because I didn't have to worry about how loud my home theater system was and I didn't have to worry about playing music loud enough to hear when I took a shower. I asked my neighbors, and all they ever heard was pretty faint. I felt secure about my car in the parking lot. Fort Collins isn't known for it's crime anyways. The free cable was nice but it was only basic and the condition of the apartment wasn't the best, but I never felt like I was living in the dumps. It was kept up. The management at times seemed a little standoffish but that is standard and I didn't have to deal with them that much. Any other review that is calling this place "ghetto" or run down is highly exagerating. I have definitly lived in much worse places that charged the same amount for rent. If you are looking for a place with brand new carpet and a modern kitchen, this isn't the place, but if are looking for a standard apartment without much risk, check this place out.
