Looks Can Be Deceiving

I did not see a comprehensive review, so this is my story of Rams Pointe. Way too expensive for what you get. The appliances suck, the stove would have trouble boiling water if more than one burner was on, my toilet always ran, the refrigerator door handle pulled straight off. We didnt have a lint screen in our dryer and the wash machine ate a couple pairs of clothes for no reason. Our water heater and furnace went out multiple times, in the dead of winter, and since we had no access to them we could not relight the pilot light, it is also outside for the two bedroom apartments, which means that in the winter you will be paying to heat your water all the time because it simply cannot stay warm. Maintenance takes much longer than is desirable (We had the Excel guy get here before them) and came and went as they pleased, I have no idea why they need to perform several "inspections" during the year, but they did and there was nothing you could do to stop them from coming in. Noise in this place is terrible, most of the time its no big deal, but many many drunk people cause lots of chaos at 2-3 in the morning, which is funny, but the loud music at all hours kind of sucks. And dont get me wrong I love loud music, but this is the kind of music where you could fart a more intricate bass line. And that is not just on weekends, but mondays, tuesdays, wednesdays, everyday of the week. Security is a joke, I never once saw a security guard leave the first floor or for that matter leave the security car parked at the clubhouse, although their presence is probably all it takes. But hey! They have a pool and a hot tub, which counts for something I guess. The furniture is pretty nice, but doesnt dignify why this place costs 20% more than anybody else, and when I moved in my bed frame had only been put together, and not tightened. So I had to tighten every bolt on it to make it stop making noise, which was a pain in the arse. It is close to campus and the grocery store, and the apartments are laid out very nicely. If you like cheap gas bills this place is not for you. Every single door and window is drafty, when it would get really cold outside our bedroom windows would ice up, and we barely ran our heater because we are cheap, and were still paying over $70 a month in the winter for an 800 square foot apartment heated to 60 degrees. This place looks nice from the outside, and much of it is, but coming home to a peaceful apartment after a killer day of classes just wasn't a reality, and paying Boulder rental prices in Fort Collins is the biggest joke of all. People may say "you are being too harsh" but I put up with so much sh!t from this place for the last nine months that I feel the need to let others know. They draw you in with promises of essentially "sophomore dorms," which to me means ease of living, but it isn't quite that. Instead you get the space of an apartment and the childish actors of dorm life. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere, and even though glitz and glamour are appealing and welcoming, remember that looks can be deceiving.
