Apartment Reviews for Copper Ridge
Consider Renting Somewhere Else

There are so many issues with this complex, it is hard to know where to begin. I lived there for years. Basically, over time, the rent kept jumping up with large increases. They began to charge tenants for water usage, common gas and common electric. Then they added pet rent. In talking to my neighbors over the years, it appeared that the property management company was looking for more money. In the time that I was there, my rent increased by almost 50% (that's right!), and my notices quoted 'market rates' to explain my increases. When I left, they kept my deposit and billed me for over $600. I sent them by USPS Express Mail a certified check. I have evidence that they cashed this check and that the envelope was signed by an employee who worked in their office.
I e-mailed the Copper Ridge Apartment Manager twice, using the e-mail address that appeared in the letter they sent to me with the 'final' bill. I never received a reply.
Then I received a letter form their law firm / debt collection company, demanding payment of funds.
Thing is, they always processed my checks without a problem for years, I leave, then they have a problem not crediting my check? It looks suspicious to me.
The apartments also have problems with mold, mostly in the bathrooms. My neighbors moved out because the husband is allergic to mold and mildew. I spoke with them about it and took pictures of the black mold growing on the BACK of the bathroom tiles, while they were repairing the plumbing. Pretty nasty!
I also noticed the last few years I rented there, that most people were only there a year, then they left.
The apartments around Flat Iron Crossing, in Broomfield, seem much nicer and are newer. I would want to live in these other apartments next time I rent there.
