Review for Bristol House Apartments

The bad reviews of Bristol House just do not ring true to my experience here. I have lived at Bristol House for three years and I do not have one complaint. The management has always been courteous and responsive, I've never had a problem with unanswered messages or unreturned calls. I haven't had any real maintanance issues, but I have found the staff to be very kind and helpful. The air conditioning works fabulously in my unit, I love my AC, so I would really be disturbed if it wasn't working and I've never had a problem. The AC being turned on in May is standard practice across the city. In all four apartment buildings I have lived in NW DC, every single one of them turned the AC on in May, and yes, occasionally, I've had to put up with a few days being warmer than I prefer, but in every building, including the Bristol House, notices were put under my door and hung in the elevator explaining the process involved in making the switch from AC to Heat and when we could expect to have the AC on.

I think that a lot of people just don't have the right attitude for apartment living. If you want utter quiet and isolation from other people, you'd be better off getting a house in the country. If you want to live in the heart of city, surrounded by cool restaurants and shops, walking distance to just about everything, in a VERY well maintained and managed apartment complex, then the Bristol House is for you!
