I moved into the apartment in July, and I have been relatively happy with the place. It is clean and quiet, and I appreciate the ammenities (gym, etc.). The staff at the front desk is excellent (professional, courteous, dependable), and the maintenance person, Charli', is attentive and does great work. I also have had good interactions with Jennifer McDonnell, who I believe is Shaun's boss. I even referred someone to the place this month, and they will move in soon.
The persistent problem that I have had with the place has been the leasing director/manager, Shaun Allende. When I first met him, he did an excellent job of showing me the place. That impression faded quickly, and I agree with the previous reviewer's assessment of him. He is often rude, condescending, and unprofessional. He has a really snooty tone; does not know how to communicate appropriately with people and is offensive at times. In addition, he is extremely irresponsible and disorganized. He does not follow-up on phone calls and emails, and lacks accountability for his multiple mistakes.
I have already filed two separate complaints with JPI, and I encourage other tennants to do the same if they have had similar experiences. I have a long list of Allende blunders, so feel free to email me if you need any specific information about Shaun.
