Apartment Reviews for Huntwood Courts - Washington

Living at huntwood was not at all bad. They clean their buildings on a consistent basis and maintenance is always visible throughout the day. All in all maintenance are very helpful except for the slow one he is very rude. Aside from the office saying that I paid my rent late twice the rental office staff are very helpful and they fixed that situation on a professional and timely manner. The property offer many incentives for getting your rent paid on time or referrals although I have not seen many lately.I did not see any mice and I did see a few roaches but very little and they will send an exterminator out by request. The only problem that I had with Huntwood is the space or should I say lack there of. Oh and it took them forever to fix my broken bathroom window that mysteriously broke on its own. Huntwood is affordable and a not so bad place to live. LR

The staff is awesome they are on the ball. The community is great. It is closed to the metro. The office is always open except Sunday. The price you can not beat.

If you like living in a mice infested community? Then Welcome to Huntwood Court Apartments! Although they do not have roaches, I still do not recommend living here to a anyone. I still reside in this community and as soon as my lease expires I will be moving.I have not had any compliants until the new management company took over. The manager is very rude,impatient and unapproachable. She has a preconceived notion that all of the tenants, who are mostly black are the bad. This is predominantly a working class community but with today's economy and with people losing jobs. She is very insensitive to long time residents with good history who she assumes is taking advantage of hardships of the world. They make up things as they go along, make changes without proper notification to the tenants, things are not explained thoroughly to residents prior to moving in such as we will charge you for the cheap *** mini blinds if you break them so dont touch them or they will break easily. but that is minor but other pertinent information as well SO BEWARE BEFORE YOU SIGN A LEASE, WHICH I HOPE YOU DO NOT, MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING FULLY because they will tell you something different. The maintenance crew tries to do a good job, but could use a attitude adjustment. Although the property is well kept by one groundskeeper, they do have a bad mice problem. and depending on which building you reside in? The neighbors are nosey as ****. They do not have up to date ammenities such as a dishwasher, a linen closet or rodent control and unbelieveably cats are not welcomed. they offer nothing special that would commensurate with the amount of rent that you pay, which is too high, considering the area. They do have a loitering problem especially in the summer time. I am noticing lately people are writing profane gestures/sayings on the walls, peoples cars and on the windows of the building .It would be nice if they could hold community meetings/forum to discuss any problems/concerns with the Management Company. The office is supposed to be open every sat 10-2- it's closed. M-F they are supposed to stay open until 5pm-Guess What?... They leave when they feel like it. The laundry room is supposed to be open on a daily basis until 8pm. Guess What? you will be lucky if it's open at all and for no apparent reason would it be closed. But the only way to find out is after you've logged a week's worth of laundry 4 buildings a way do you realize this. There is a heavy police presence but only when randomly patrolling the area or harrassing the tenants. But do not call them because you will never see them. I do believe that if the most of tenants here had internet access. You would see alot more compliants about this property. So for the amount of rent they are asking to keep you in between four walls and a roof literally, if you still feel like moving here? this is what you are paying for.
